Yeast Brink Systems
IDD's multi-tank yeast brink systems are the complete solution for yeast propagation, storage, and management. Each tank features a PID-controlled glycol cooling jacket, which maintains its contents at a precise temperature without undershooting. Variable speed agitators prevent temperature or slurry stratification while minimizing shear. Load cells on the tank feet allow for pitch control by weight. The frame of the brink system connects all of the tanks to a central air-operated diaphragm pump, which can send yeast slurry throughout the brewery with hardly any shear effects. All tanks are connected to a central CIP/SIP manifold for easy preparation and cleanup.
The yeast brink system can be used to wash, grow, aerate, and propagate pitches. Manways at the top of each tank allow for the easy addition of solid nutrients, secondary pitches, or sampling probes for quality control.
